Unfriendly staff. Hotel room has no amenities

There are a lot of hotels around the Frankfurt airport and I have stayed at many over the past 15 years. However, this hotel is the finest and most consistent. Faces restaurant serves some of the finest food available anywhere in Germany.

5 star hotel with free shuttle to airport Everything was great about the quiet quality hotel near the Frankfurt Airport.

Perfect hotel for overnighting at an airport. Check in and Check out very easy and efficient and bar/restaurant open 24 hrs/day. I will definitely stay here again if I need to.

I stayed just one night. The hotel is minutes from the terminal. The free shuttle bus was on time, running every 15 minutes. Comfortable, clean room with coffee and tea. From what I could tell there are no services around the area but that was not a drawback for me. A very nice hotel indeed.

I had a great experience here from the time i checked in to the time i was dropped off at the Airport. The restauraunts were great and the food was outstanding. I am looking forward to my next visit and would definately recomend to friends. Thank you!!

I had stayed at this hotel before. When I saw the double room for the price of a single, I thought this would be a good deal. However, I ended up with a single room on a smoking floor. The room, the carpets, the pillow, the mattress were disgusting. I called and asked to be moved to another room but was told the hotel was sold out. Even after I opened […] the window the smell was so intense that I was unable to sleep and just waited until I could get a shower and get out of the hotel. You have to navigate to Terminal Hall 1A for the hotel shuttle bus's only stop at FRA. Just fine for offsite property, but not as convenient as the Sheraton at the airport, which was twice the price.

The hotel is ideally situated for early flights out of Frankfurt. It is clean and comfortable, and the casual German restaurant is very nice. Checkin-checkout can be a bit slow, but the airport shuttle is very convenient and quick.

This hotel and the buffet style restaurant Unterschweinstiege are just great: we recommend it and are looking forward to our next stay.

The room was very clean and it include most amenities. I would have loved to see an iron and an ironing board though. The furniture was quite basic, but practical. So was the bathroom. The location was very convenient, being close to the airport and being accessible through a frequent shuttle.

I consider this hotel the best in the area. It is much closer than a lot of others and has a very regular free shuttle. Although it is big the staff our still good and it set up and perfect for what it is designed for.

We chose the Steigenberger Airport Hotel because it is very close to the Airport terminals and has a free shuttle service (plenty of space, every 15 minutes) Since we were with our 13 year old son we chose a family room. While the room was nice, it was very small for three, once the sofa was turned into a third bed. The TV could only be fewed from either […] the parents bed or the childrens bed. While German hotels seldom have coffee makers, this one had at least a hot water maker and instant coffee and tee bags. Better than nothing. The hotel bar/restaurant is expensive. There is a gas station with little market about 200 meters from the hotel. The hotel is ideal if you have to return a rental car. The chuttle will pick you up afterwards. If you have more than a night you might want to live in Frankfurt city. The airport area is not that exciting. The pool area was clean and the water fresh. You have great views from there. In the pool you can turn on different water jets and a waterfall. Nice. The staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel is very clean (German). It has AC that is easy to use. The WIFI and internet is too expensive. It is a shame how German Hotels still charge prices like 20 years ago. You can get a super fast internet access with flatrate for telefon in Germany for 20 Euros, but that is what you pay for an hour in this hotel. No excuse, that is exploitation of the situation. The Hotel is convienient to the airport and to Frankfurt. The Hotel staff were quite helpful to those who have not stayed at the Steingenberger Airport hotel previously. Very nice and convienient "one-night-stay".

This is an excellent place if you are looking for a nice hotel convenient to the Frankfurt Airport. Easy to get to/from by frequent busses (every 15 mins), nice food options, very nice fitness center - thumbs up.

I had to use the internet access down at the Lobby and the charge the hotel is taken is far too high comparing to the price of the hotel room. Such high classic hotel should not charge the guests for using the internet. Further only 2 computers are in service and when I open the acces I only could use the same computer after that. Often that computer […] was occuped so I had to await until the computer was not in use of other quest. That was rather bouring to await few times in this short stay at Steigenberger Airport Hotel. The convenience of the shuttle, the friendly staff, the clean, modern facility... I'd highly recommend this hotel! Make sure you stay in the Executive tower as there is a HUGE difference in the rooms.

Very dissapointed stay at this hotel..room for 3 adults you could barely walk in the room. staff very uncaring and couldnt really be bothered in helping out or changing to alternative room. Very convenient for taking an early morning flight out of Frankfurt airport. The hotel shuttle service is excellent and timely. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant is a little pricey, but the food and wine are good.

We chose this Hotel because it's close to the airport as we only had one day in Frankfurt before we fly home to Australia. The Hotel supplies a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport every half hour. We took this shuttle back to the airport to catch the train to the city of Frankfurt. Brilliant. We were stuck having to spend the night in Frankfurt in between flights, and did not want additional inconvenience. As a family of four, we booked a suite at the Steigenberger, and were delightfully surprised at how close it was to the airport (a five-minute bus ride), how efficient the staff were and how quiet and pleasant the room was. I stayed here for an overnight stopover, and I must say that the hotel location and frequent shuttle were extremely convenient. The amenities were a bit pricey (e.g., lobby restaurant, connection fee to dial a toll-free number), but I'm sure this is par for an airport hotel. Service was very responsive - the remote control in my room didn't work, and […] despite the late hour (just past midnight), it was replaced within ten minutes of calling the front desk. Make sure you book the executive rooms for the best experience in the hotel. The other rooms are normal and I will rate them as 3.5 over 5.

The swimming pool water was very cold. This pool should be heated. Our son's, grade school age, lips turned blue within 15 minutes due to the water temperature. The reason we picked this hotel was due to the pool availability for our son to exercise prior to our trip back to the U.S.

Excellent, upscale hotel airport with free 24 hr shuttle service to Frankfurt airport. If you can, upgrade to the Executive Tower rooms...lovely! Great location if you need to be close to the airport. Property is in excellent shape. I had to change my room, as the one I was given smelled. That process took 20min, which after a long day of travel was tiring. Overall, a positive experience. Staying there again next week.

The room we were assigned had a review card from a previous guest that stated the air conditioner did not work, which was true, and it was very uncomfortable. Also, the safety closure on the door was broken off. We were not happy about this at all. We went to the receptiond desk and were reassigned a new room with an upgrade. conveniently located near the Frankfurt Airport, this hotel is clean and convenient. I thought the extra charge for the breakfast was high and would have liked to have a small menu breakfast included in the price of the stay.

Great location, easily accessible via free shuttle (every 15 mins), easy check in and out although check out can be better with more manpower.

We only had the one night, prior to our return flight. The location was very convenient to the airport. No plane noise, and the usual Steigenberger standard including good food. An excellent hotel chain.

This Hotel is located very close to the airport and offers complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport. If you need to stay close to the airport, it's the ideal location. The standard rooms are more like dorm rooms and are in need of a total reno. Anytime you see flight crews staying at a hotel it's a good indication that you should steer clear. Hotel was old and dated. ZERO room ammenities, not even a bar of soap. Had to call housekeeping for it. They missed our wake up call, we almost missed our flight. Room was hot, air conditioning didn't work. Stayed twice in this hotel in a week after and before flights from Frankfurt. Extremely pleased. Far superior to typical airport hotels with comfortable well appointed rooms, excellent food, and a very helpful staff. Recommend highly!
