Overall, this place is very friendly and comfortable. The beds were surprisingly comfy. The hotel is conveniently located near Asheville and major highways so getting around is no problem. this isnt in the best of locations if you're wanting to be surrounded by nearby places to go and things to do, but it suited our purposes just fine. it was quiet, clean, and the staff was really friendly. our only complaint was with the shower, it was impossible to maintain a constant temperature, you were either scalded or freezing, sometimes both […] within minutes of each other for no apparent reason. but if you dont mind that, it was a great place, rooms were really comfy and clean. plus they give you free breakfast AND dinner, cant beat that!! we researched heavily before coming to see the biltmore and all reviews for Days Inn West indicated that it would be a good value-for-money, my key criterion. i was pleased with the friendly welcome from the front desk, the welcome dinner soups, the room itself and its ammenities, and the breakfast before our departure. the only thing i disliked was […] the very poor acoustics between rooms so that the neighboring rooms could all be heard, particularly the kids romping up/down stairs. perhaps if folks ask (as we did) for a QUIET room, they should put all of US in another wing (it didn't seem to be fully occupied, though our 'wing' was). love the coffee makers in room and the dinner soups; please continue to include. would recommend and stay again. The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets very thin. There was paper on the bathroom floor and one of the cups, though wrapped in paper, had been used. The TV color was very poor and it rattled when you walked past it. Door handles were loose.

The people at this hotel definitely aim to please! Free dinner and free breakfast. I wish I wouldn't have already eaten dinner, because whatever they were serving smelled great. The wall moved. I opened the door and the wall moved. I swear. VERY loud (you could hear anyone talk three rooms away) but the worst thing was the water in the shower... it got hot, it got cold, and you couldn't predict when it would happen. It literally was hot enough to scald and cold enough to chill... The room's heater STANK of hair (probably the […] first time it had been used since last season) and mostly just cycled the fan without engaging either the cooling compressor or heating coils, the "complimentary supper" and "complimentary breakfast" were all but inedible... in short, sleeping in the car would have been preferable. For the price I paid for a weekend during peak season it was very good deal. My expectation was on the low side but when I got there it was better than expected. Overall good experience.

"Days inn near Asheville nc close to blue ridge"
It's a days inn. You expect an upper-low class hotel. For a one night stop on a road trip, it suffices. Breakfast was acceptable for free. They offered free dinner too, but we ate elsewhere. Staff was helpful an friendly. Overall a good on night stay.

"Days Inn West-great value"
Wife and I stayed for one night while passing through the area on a motorcycle trip. Motel was a bit older, but clean with very helpful employees. Had a very good hot breakfast. Good value for the price, would stay again.

"Ants in the bed"
There were stains on the towels and ants in the beds when we pulled back the covers. Also, they only set up our key cards for one day even though we stayed multiple nights, so we had to go back to the front desk (which is far from the rooms) to have our keys reactivated.

We were on the road, and had just had a less-than-satisfactory experience at a different Days Inn. Had even thought of cancelling this reservation and choosing a different chain (that one was in Lake City, FL...not bad, just far from great). We were VERY pleasantly surprised with this hotel! "Not bad for the price"
The carpet in the room could have been a little cleaner. The ac was cold and the bed was fine. The bath tub could have been a little cleaner. The water pressure was fine. The breakfast was just so so. The hotel was older, but not bad over all. For the price of the room you can't complain. I would stay again.

Nice room for the rate. Beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the staff were very nice at check-in. Nothing real fancy, but a good place to crash for a couple of nights. Located about 10 miles west of Asheville.

The hotel was Ok at the price and had what we needed. However, the carpet in our room was a little sticky. Other than that the room seemed clean enough.

For the money, this hotel was decent enough. Beds were fine; staff was friendly. It's a bit older and the carpet could stand replacing, but overall, it was what I expected.

We stayed 3 nights at Days Inn West. I was pleased to find new, very comfy beds and a clean room with a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. I have paid far more and received far less at many other hotels. This is a very good value if you're on a budget, or simply want to spend your money on other things.

Motel room was average. Ac heating unit appeared and worked almost new. Bathroom was a bit small. Fridge and microwave. Adequate lighting. Free full breakfast and stew and soup for evenings. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

The mattresses were very worn out, so they sloped on the edges. If you took a shower during cleaning hours, there was no hot water or it was scalding. There was no in between comfortable temperature for the bath tub. The drink machine took our money and we couldn't get it back. They charged my card for the pet fee, but told me my card declined. This was our first stay at this hotel, which was easy to find and conveniently located to family we were visiting. The staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were comfortable and clean. Would stay here again.

The room had not been cleaned. There was trash on the floor, hair in the tub, and the sheets did not appear to have been changed. The water smelled like raw sewage.

Free breakfast and dinner saved me even more money than i expected. My microwave and fridge didn't work but they sent maintenance up and they fixed the outlet right away. Beds were ok, room was clean and staff was friendly. What more could you ask for :) Oh and the rates were cheap!

Our room was south facing, and second floor, and we had a splendid view of Pisgah National Forest. It felt a bit far from all the activities in town, but I didn't know that til we got there. It wasn't bad, only about 15 minutes to all the happenings. The farmers market was very close by, we enjoyed buying fresh snacks to take back to the room.
