The service was fantastic, all staff were friendly and helpful, they even assisted me with my luggage to the carpark. I received complimentary newspapers everyday and complimentary late check out 2pm. Room service was of great quality and prompt, the room had an amazing view of the city, arts centre and birrungmar, but the best thing about the hotel […] was the most comfortable bed. We found the hotel clean and in very good condition but found the majority of staff unfriendly and at times condescending especially front of house and in the restaurant. The Park Hyatt in Melbourne is much friendlier.

My daughter and I organised a night out for her 16th Birthday, we went to a show at the Atheneum Theater which was within walking distance from the hotel, we ordered room service for dinner and after the show ordered room service again for desert. Overall it was a great night, the hotel was excellent, the staff were extremely helpful and room service […] was a real treat (the food was hot and the quality was excellent). A very nice hotel. I stayed in a king room with city view which was very nice. the only weak point in my stay would be the sheets weren't as silky or soft as you'd expect for a 5 star hotel.

This is a lovely hotel. All would've been perfect except the aircon was a little loud HOWEVER...they were performing maintenence on the floor above and at 7am we were woken by this, Several calls to reception followed, the noise stopped for a while, but then started. Upon checkout later that morning, we wanted some compensation and after 10mins, we […] were given $80 back for the inconvience. The manager/supervisor told us the maintenence was not supposed to commence until 9am, however, we felt it was rude for the hotel to put us in a room so close to where they knew repairs were being conducted. First class vews over the "Paris end" of Collins street and it's wonderful classic buildings and churches. Easy walking distance to the NGV, Federation square, top end boutiques, theatres, China town, lane ways and Arcades. A part of the heart of Melbourne. Excellant service, fine wine and dining. The buffet breakfast is not to be missed.
