my wife and i were happy with choosing holiday inn. view from sixth floor ocean front room outstanding. food and drinks hit the spot, especially their breafast menu.well book again next visit to mb area.

The hotel overall is very nice. It was clean and comfortable and I really enjoyed my stay ..besides the staff. They were so rude and much of the time had an attitude with the customers. I feel like if we're paying good money to stay at your hotel then we deserve to be treated with some courtesy. Also the "hot tub" isn't even hot. I didn't like the fact that the staff at the front desk tried to get me to pay for things i wasn't informed to pay for when I was booking the hotel. Overall the hotel was beautiful and peaceful, but the staff were not amazing.

Room was nice and clean. A good value for the money. There were mechanical problems with the room. The sliding door to the balcony was extremely difficult to operate. The faucet on the bathroom sink was loose, which made temperature regulation difficult. The hair dryer did not work.

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront @ Surfside Beach and we were very pleased with our stay. The hotel was clean and has been recently renovated. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and welcoming.

I took my family including my mother-in-law for her first trip to the ocean. It was awesome. The hotel and location were wonderful. I would truly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have a great. Everything was well kept and the staff was very accomodating. I will definitely go back again.

This was our second stay, once in 2005, on that visit we discovered black mold in the dresser drawers and on the walls. The staff moved us immediately to another room. The hotel was in the middle of remodeling. Our visit this time, August 2012, was disappointing. The hotel appears to continue to have a bad mold problem, there was evidence of mold around […] the ceiling where it meets the wall. It appeared to have been cleaned and painted over, the walls were painted a depressing dark red, makes one wonder if the hotel picked this dark color to cover old mold. Well situated, great location, lovely views, professional and pleasant staff. All things considered a reasonably nice stay for our family. However buyer beware - although the bed in the room was correctly described as a king, it wasn't made clear that this is the ONLY bed in the room. The Expedia service allowed our family of 2 adults and 3 small children […] (all 5 and under) to book this room and one would expect everyone would actually have a space to sleep. In their favor, Holiday Inn staff made sure to get us a crib for our 2 year old but this left 2 adults, a 5 year old and a 4 year old sharing the king bed. Hotel was a nice place to stay. We were visiting Myrtle Beach to attend the last half of Mustang Week. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. I would change only one thing about the visit- turn off the loud music and karaoke that came out of the Tiki Bar in the pool area. When I booked it, I thought I had it secured an "ocean side balcony" room? I had a balcony, as a matter of fact all rooms had a balcony, but ours overlooked the parking lot. We really enjoyed this hotel. Everything seemed clean and updated. The room was "small" (not room to setup anything extra if you had a baby with you, for instance), but it was perfect for us. Service was excellent - front desk was always helpful. 2 outlets did not work in our room which was an inconvenience. The hotel knew about this too and said they needed an electrician to come out and fix it. We were stuck without those two outlets for our stay. The safe in the room also did not work when we got in the room. The service man came up and was able to fix it and get it working. Also the food […] at Scoops (outside by pool) was horrible. They are connected to the hotel restaurant. We ordered a ceasar salad that came out with a ton of dressing on it and we couldn't eat it. It was not a get experience. The room was ocean front but the sliding glass door was screwed shut. When I asked why I was told that I was contacted about this information and there was nothing they could do about it. NO I was not contacted. The bathtub had stains in it and the hallways we horribly hot. The air-conitioner was on high the 24 hours and […] stayed just cool. There was a room close to mine that fire alarm went if in and the only reason that we heard it was because we were walking out to the elevator. The over all condition of the building has gone down hill some what in the last 20 years. We were given a room on the west side on 2nd floor with air conditioners for our view while there was plenty of room on ocean side with great views open. We felt this was because we did not book directly through the Holiday and pay a higher price...

The restaurant and the bar closed so early. The entire computer system was down for our whole stay. Overall the stay was nice. Beautiful view of the beach and ocean. Food was just ok.

I reserved a non smoking room and received a smoking room. I had to pay extra to be moved. The room was not only a smoking room but on a smoking floor and the doors or windows do not open. I am allergic to ciigarette smoke and had to be moved.

We came after a friend's wedding for an overnight and had a lovely time. The front desk staff were friendly & helpful, and the room had a nice view overlooking the ocean. We really enjoyed ourselves and would consider returning here.

The hotel was great- right on the ocean & not too near anything. You definitely need a car as you have to travel to any sights and to eateries. I loved it! It was quaint & older. I would receommend it.

The front desk was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The room was very clean and comfortable as well. Hotel charged me $5.00 at check in, said it was in the fine print. Could have even been more depending on location and time of year. Hotel was ok front desk clerk was nice.
