Was a well situated hotel, the staff were pleasing and good, the only downfall was on the 31st December I could not get into my room for over 1.5hrs which was very frustrating considering I had to be up at 6 the next morning, was promised one nights accommodation free but no one actually spoke to me about that again, otherwise a great stay

Generally a good hotel, but watch your bill when using the restaurants or bar, they may add the cost of bottles of water to the bill whether you have asked for them or not and at 40QAR's a bottle it can add up.

There were things about this hotel that were great, and some things that were really lacking. The maintenance... The crack in my shower that was repaired with a color that did not match making it obvious, took away from the five star feel. The fact that we booked for two people in the room, but were only given one set of towels. My reservation said […] free wi-fi, but I never got it, even after going to the front desk three times. The breakfast buffet was really good, except, it seems everyone comes down at once and there was not enough food, so we had to keep going back to get one item at a time as they brought it out. The guy fixing the omelets was great... The one taking the orders or omelets was extremely rude. The check-in staff was great. WE got there after midnight, and he was bright-eyed and hospitable. The drink upon arrival is a nice touch. The view was AWESOME, and as long as I can get that view, I would come back to this hotel again and again... even thought the staff would not call us a taxi. We arrived at 5:00 p.m. but we didnt find the room ready for us, as our check in starts at 3:00 p.m. however this is the only issue we got, the breakfast buffet is delecious the balacony to the sea is georgeous , gardens and small beach, every thing was perfect , we engoyed our stay as we extend one more day.. In one word: Don't miss it !!

Hotel is a bit old. Beach is smal. Service and quality of staff service is an absolute disaster! And it's a hotel culture!

The staff are very friendly, and respond quickly to requests. The suites are charming and have fantastic views of the sea. I had an excellent experience with my one night stay. On check-in I asked for a water view room if possible, and they gave me a top floor small suite with a fantastic view. Very comfortable room. It seems to be an old hotel and is apparent with the furnishings and decor . It is not a modern business hotel but an excellent resort hotel . Booked with apprehention as this is one of the older hotels in Doha, but was delighted with the choice. From greeting at reception with hot towel and fresh orange juice, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The only down side being a room facing inland with panorama of building site, but for a one night stay it was not an issue […] - would have asked for a change if staying longer. They also were extremely helpful trying to help us locate our lost luggage, and even went and picked it up for us, saving us a trip back to the airport! This is a 5-star hotel and it has very good service. It is in the city center of Doha, just 15 minutes walk to the big City Center Mall. It's also very cheap to go with taxi if you would like to do that BUT the hotel just offer their own cars, the are not willing to call the local taxi company (there is just one). The hotel really needs to renovate but I think they will do that this year, When it was New Years Eve the keys to the rooms stoped working, it was just 1 key that should open all the doors! Hotel is well maintained. Reception was very slow. Mini-bar was empty...? Other than that it is very recommendable. Although a bit expensive compared to the alternatives in Doha, which are at least as good.
